John William Taylor III was born to MSGT John William Taylor Jr. and Mildred Kidd Taylor on December 8, 1960 at Mather AFB, California. He was a "chip off the old block" and was known to his family as “Chipper”. Being a military child with one younger sister, he comes from a close-knit family.
He was a good man with a large heart who lived his life to the fullest. He was educated in the Rutherford County School System, He accepted Christ at an early age. He retired from Murfreesboro Water and Sewage after 30 years of service. After retirement he became owner/operator of Two-Lane Trucking. At an early age Terran gave his life to Christ and joined Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Terran started playing football at a very young age. He played quarterback at Central Middle School and Riverdale High School. Mr. Ronnie Edward Rankins, Sr. was born in Rutherford County, on October 1, 1955, to Major King and Sara Harris.

His life was full of adventures based on being stationed at many Air Force bases close to the ocean and with his parents being from New Jersey, he was a natural born swimmer who loved snorkeling, playing in the sand, taught to fish and trapping crustaceans. He was also taught to embrace nature which included exploring and having natures pets; snakes, lizards , tarantulas, fish, dogs, even a pet wild boar named Sally. There was not a rock unturned or a wooded area unexplored with his sister close by his side.

While living in Oklahoma City following high school, he attended the University of Oklahoma, and during this time frame, August 8, 1983, one special summer evening, he met his future wife Angela. While transitioning back to Tennessee, John chose to follow Angela and to continue his education at Tennessee State University. He was employed by Advanced Survey 10+ years and FEDEX for 8+ years. He was also self-employed with Legal Shield and Assure for Life.
