A fun beaded pillow continues the seaside theme in the living area. We selected a cool blue and white color palette in this space. I’ve been stalking every store around for mini white pumpkins for weeks and I finally found some last weekend. I spotted them outside a local farmer’s market as my husband and I were driving by and I nearly jumped out of the moving car. Here’s a closer look at the mantel.
I always LOVE traditional red, but it got me thinking… green and golds are also very traditional. So, I decided to try a traditional route that wasn’t too… traditional? I love the dark hunter green coupled with the bright brass. Whilst decorating I did get a bit of a wild hair and threw in a touch of deep blue.
Faux Greenery
The red in each room just pops and is so beautiful. Your kitchen is always a favorite and then your dining room looks so perfect with the red plaid. The gingle belll name stands is genius. I have to say that my favorite is your bedroom, that gorgeous gray velvet and then those red pillows totally stole my heart. Thanks so much for joining the tours, such a beautiful home. My Christmas tiered tray was such a hit last year, that I just had to decorate it again.
🙂 Pinning if Pinterest will allow. I started decorating outside with these hydrangeas. I found this bucket at a flea market over the summer and thought it was just perfect to display what’s left of my hydrangeas. I paid over $20 for that old bucket which I thought was too much at the time (or maybe I’m just cheap) but I’m glad I did.

Anyway, they have been hiding him around the house in hopes that he would accidentally make it onto the blog someday. Now, it is a running joke and one I share in my Instagram stories when I find him. The kids have had a blast with hiding him every day and will be so happy to see him here in the post.

Was very nice to see your lovely home, thanks for giving us a peek inside. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It is a noble fir and it is a real tree.
Do you notice the fabulous disco ball? It was actually from a disco ball toy that Ashlyn had when she was little. It had a ball on each end of the dance party thing. You plugged it in and they'd play music and dance. Before throwing it away, I pried the two balls off of it. I absolutely love our home at Christmas.

Love all the softness and beautiful decor! I’ve never noticed your glass doors leading to the kitchen before. I balanced the brown of the pumpkins on the other side of the mantel with some vintage books and a decorative acorn. You have decorated your home so beautifully and creatively.

Your neighbor girls are adorable!!! My two sweet neighbors, Mae and Nora, recently offered free lemonade to all those out for a summer stroll. They love to visit Storybook Cottage and I hope that you do as well.
Close to shopping, HEB Grocery, restaurants and Lake Weatherford. The granite and kitchen island are lovely and the floorplan has a great flow. There are full sprinklers and a lovely community pool awaits the hot Texas summers. When I was taking photos for this summer home tour 2018, the sun was coming in so pretty in the living room that I had to take a photo.
It was supposed to be a temporary fix, and now that one of the chairs are broken I think it’s time to replace this set. You know, before someone sits on it and it collapses. (To my friends and family, don’t sit in the chair by the sliding door). It does seem like forever since we’ve done a hop.
